Master Ri Seong Kang and Master Shelley Vettese-Baert will be hosting two National Poomsae Training Camps leading up the Hong Kong 2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.

The National Poomsae Training Camp is a perfect time for you to train with National Coaches to learn the latest Poomsae tactics and further develop your poomsae skills in preparation for upcoming competitions. 

These training camps will focus on sport poomsae, which are specific movements and techniques used in competitions. The camps will cover important details like stances, blocks, hand techniques, and kicks, and how to do these moves correctly and effectively.

During the training camp, we’ll practice these techniques through drills and exercises. We’ll also give you tips and cues to help you improve. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding of how to perform sport poomsae well, which will help you in next competitions.

Eligibility Requirements

• • Black belt 1st degree and higher
  • Registered and in good standing with Taekwondo Canada

Fees/Funding

• • Registration Fees: $100/day
    • It is not mandatory to attend all three days of the training camp. 
    • **National Team members attending the Hong Kong 2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships will have their registration fees covered by Taekwondo Canada.**
  • All travel expenses associated with the event (ie. Flights and Hotel) are self-funded.
