Taekwondo Canada Names New High Performance Advisory Group Members

Taekwondo Canada is proud to announce the nomination of its new High Performance Advisory Group (HPAG).

This group is a volunteer operational advisory committee and features six members of the Canadian taekwondo community. This group will assist Taekwondo Canada High Performance Director Guy Thibault by providing advice / recommendations in matters pertaining to Taekwondo Canada High Performance selections and programs in alignment with the Taekwondo Canada Strategic Plan and the objectives of the High-Performance Plan.

The members are as follows:

Coaches: 

  • Carlos Amezcua
  • Carla Bacco
  • Edward Fong

Athlete Representatives:

  • François Coulombe-Fortier
  • Daria (Dasha) Peregoudova

Referee:

  • Barbara Marian

Taekwondo Canada High Performance Director Guy Thibault says of the development of the High Performance Advisory Group:

“I am thrilled to have this group of key experts in place. The scope of their skills and knowledge will assist in drafting fair and transparent selection criterion for Taekwondo Canada’s High Performance programs.”

The newly formed committee will begin work immediately.
