Canadian Taekwondo Athletes Shine Amongst World’s Best at Pan Am Junior and Cadet Championships

PORTLAND, USA.—Canada’s taekwondo athletes combined to rack up 22 medals in poomsae and kyorugi competitions at the 2019 Pan Am Junior and Cadet Championships in Portland, Oregon. Team Canada won the 2nd most medals among all countries in the 2019 Pan Am junior and cadet Championships 

A strong contingent of Canadians were among the top-level athletes a deep international field where they finished second overall as a nation. The following Canadian athletes celebrated podium performances throughout the weekend.

Taekwondo Canada sends national teams to the Olympic Games, World Taekwondo Championships, Pan Am Taekwondo Championships, Pan Am Games, World Taekwondo Junior Championships, Poomsae World Championships, Pan Am Poomsae Championships, and is also targeting the 2020 Paralympic Games.
