Taekwondo Canada Welcomes Carla Anderson as Executive Director

Taekwondo Canada – Ottawa, ON, March 13, 2018 – Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce that Carla Anderson has been appointed the organization’s Executive Director effective March 19th. Carla will be responsible for developing opportunities for Taekwondo Canada, and will drive the vision to develop, promote, expand and sustain our organization. Carla will also provide overall management of the day-to-day operations and work closely with the Board of Directors on growing the organization consistent with the mission and goals of Taekwondo Canada.
Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts (Recreation and Leisure Studies) from Concordia University. In 1987 she began working as an Assistant with the Canadian Olympic Committee. Anderson finished her career of 29 years as Director, Games with the COC, having worked at 7 Olympic Summer Games, 7 Olympic Winter Games and 6 Pan American Games.

It was very apparent to me early in the process that Carla is a problem solver with a very collaborative attitude. Taekwondo Canada will benefit greatly from her experience and skills at creating winning management teams.
