2018 National Taekwondo Championships – Results

The 2018 National Taekwondo Championships took place in Ottawa, Ontario from Feb 15 to Feb 18. Ottawa welcomed around 650 athletes and coaches to share their competitive spirit and fight for the chance to represent Canada at multiple 2018 international championships. The four-day event highlighted top athletes from Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. A total of 26 special awards were giving out to best athletes, coaches and referees in both Kyorugi and Poomsae competitions.
Taekwondo Canada would like to thank its 2018 national event partners, Sport Canada, Tourism Ottawa, the City of Ottawa and Taekwondo Ontario for their generous support.
Taekwondo Canada would also like to thank our volunteers who made this event possible. “Your sore legs and dirty hands are the cornerstone of this event,” said YanBin Yuan, Taekwondo Canada Event Coordinator, in her thank-you email to the event volunteers, “we thank you for your dedication and all your efforts to this sport that we love and enjoy.”
