Taekwondo Canada Announces Election of Board of Directors During 2026 Annual Meeting

Ottawa, ON: Taekwondo Canada, the National Sport Organization overseeing the sport of taekwondo in Canada, held its Annual General Meeting Sunday, September 27th. During this meeting four people were elected or re-elected to the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors, re-elected for a four-year period include Wayne Mitchell as Vice-President, Sandra de Montigny as Treasurer and Jessica Scarlato as Director at Large. The organization also saw a new member added with the election of Emily Lee as Director at Large. The Board of Directors now sits at eight members holding office with Taekwondo Canada:

- Treasurer – Sandra de Montigny (QC)
- Secretary – Anthony Petrone (QC)
- Director at Large – Catherine Brewster (ON)
- Director at Large – Emily Lee (ON)
- Director at Large – Jessica Scarlato (ON)
- Athlete Director – Jordan Stewart (ON)
Taekwondo Canada’s newest Board member Emily Lee is a licensed lawyer and health policy advisor, who brings experience in governance, strategic decision-making, legal and regulatory analysis alongside a deep understanding of the sport and its development. The re-elected and newly elected Board members shall serve a four-year term with Taekwondo Canada.
