Barbara Marian Selected to Referee at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Referee Chair Barbara Marian as a referee for the sport of Taekwondo at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Marian, a longtime referee and current Chair of the Referee Committee with Taekwondo Canada was one of only 30 selected by World Taekwondo to referee at the Paralympic Games. These will be her first Paralympic Games.

In recognizing the naming of Barbara Marian to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic refereeing team, Executive Director Dave Harris said

“We are extremely proud to see Barbara selected to this prestigious position as referee with the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Her efforts, dedication and commitment to the sport of taekwondo in Canada and internationally has been recognized at the highest level. We wish Barbara the best of luck at the Games.”
