Canada Announces Team for the 2026 Senior Pan American Championships

Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce its team for the 2026 Senior Pan American Championships being held May 7th and 8th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The team consists of 52 including 41 athletes (17 Poomsae/24 Kyorugi) focused on competing against the best from North, Central and South America at the top Senior competition in the world this year.

In preparation for the upcoming event, Taekwondo Canada High Performance Director Allan Wrigley said: “The upcoming Senior Pan American Championships are a great opportunity for our senior national team athletes to measure themselves against the very best in the region. With the Olympic qualification system beginning in June, this is more than competition; it’s a benchmark, a reality check, and an opportunity to sharpen our edge as we build toward the LA Olympic Games.
