High Performance International Event Update for 2023 National Teams

Ottawa, Ontario (January 16, 2023) – 2022 was a very successful year for World Taekwondo (WT) and the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) who were able to successfully re-start the international competition calendar after the pandemic disruption. Taekwondo Canada was able to support national teams at a number of events in both Poomsae and Kyorugi where the results highlighted how well the Canadian coaches and clubs were able to maintain their programs through difficult restrictions. With the 2023 season underway and our National Championships completed, we are looking forward to what our clubs, coaches, and athletes will be able to achieve as we lead up to the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and Paris 2024 Olympic Qualification. In order to assist coaches and athletes in planning for events, Taekwondo Canada has published a High Performance International Event Update for 2023 Poomsae and Kyorugi National Teams to outline participation at specific events.
