Jocelyne Carrière Appointed as Referee Chair with Taekwondo Canada

Ottawa, ON (July 7, 2023) – Taekwondo Canada, the National Governing Body for the sport in Canada is pleased to announce that Jocelyne Carrière has been appointed as Referee Chair with the organization.

Ms.Carrière, a native of Mascouche, Quebec, has been a member of the Taekwondo Canada officiating program for over 15 years, currently serving as a Level 2 International Referee and national Poomsae official since 2020. Carrière is also a 5th Dan and has been the Referee Chair for Taekwondo Quebec since 2022.

In being appointed to this post, Ms.Carrière will now be responsible for overseeing the organization’s referees through training and development as well as providing leadership during national and international events.

Taekwondo Canada Executive Director Dave Harris said of Ms.Carrière’s election as Referee Chair, “On behalf of Taekwondo Canada, I would like to congratulate Jocelyne on her appointment as Referee Chair. Jocelyne’s hard work and dedication to the sport of taekwondo made her an excellent choice for the position. I look forward to working with her in the future.”
