Taekwondo Canada Moves to 15th in the World of Top Member National Associations as Ranked by World Taekwondo

Taekwondo Canada is proud to announce that the organization has risen two spots from number seventeen in 2024 to number fifteen in 2025 in the world amongst 213 Member National Associations (MNA) in the ranking of top taekwondo nations as recognized by its International Governing Body World Taekwondo (WT).
This ranking, which places Taekwondo Canada amongst the best run taekwondo organizations in the world, was made based on a comprehensive evaluation of the Member National Associations based on the criteria outlined in the World Taekwondo MNA Ranking Bylaws.
The MNA Ranking is a yearly assessment designed to objectively measure the performance of each MNA based on five key criteria: Governance, Participation, Performance, Events and Sustainability. These criteria reflect the MNA’s organizational and competitive strength and adherence to WT’s standards and values. The Governance score, derived from the biennial MNA survey provides insights into the internal operations of the MNAs, including transparency, integrity, democracy and development efforts.
In receiving the news from World Taekwondo, Dave Harris, Executive Director of Taekwondo Canada, added: “We are extremely pleased and proud to receive this ranking by World Taekwondo for 2025. The Board of Directors and Staff have worked very hard to make the organization not only one of the best in Canada but in the world. I think this ranking, which places us amongst the top taekwondo countries in the world, is proof of our hard work in all five criteria which we were evaluated on.”
