“After a successful and exciting National Championships, our Kyorugi athletes are ready to compete in their first international championship of the year.” said Dr. Allan Wrigley, High Performance Director for Taekwondo Canada. “As Taekwondo Canada was able to run our Kyorugi selection event using the newly adopted World Taekwondo rule changes, we feel that our athletes are in a great position to perform at their best in Punta Cana. The Poomsae athletes joining the team have already won medals at the 2022 Pan American Online Poomsae Championships and includes two athletes that recently competed at the Goyang 2022 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships. We have an exceptionally strong group of coaches that will have our athletes ready to perform.”
The team will further be supported by the Team Manager Dr. Allan Wrigley along with Athletic Therapist Tina Szeto.
