Taekwondo Canada Names Seoungmin Rim National Poomsae Coach

Taekwondo Canada is proud to announce the hiring of Master Seoungmin Rim as Head Coach of the national Poomsae team.
Rim brings significant coaching experience to the position, producing the first gold medalist for Canada at the 2012 World Poomsae Championships. Since then, he has gone on to coach Canadian athletes to numerous medals at a significant number of championships across the globe.
Master Rim has also been key in the development of Poomsae in Canada and was responsible for the creation of the National Poomsae Training Program, as well as the development of a National Poomsae Referees Program.
Taekwondo Canada Executive Director Dave Harris says of the hiring of Master Rim:
“Taekwondo Canada is extremely pleased to be able to add a coach of Master Rim’s calibre to the organization. His experience as a coach and administrator in Poomsae has made him not only a standout nationally but internationally as well. I believe that he will allow us to improve our Poomsae program significantly.”
Master Rim begins his role with Taekwondo Canada on February 1st.
