Holidays
The Taekwondo Canada office will be closed from December 21-January 4 for the holiday season. Kukkiwon certificate requests will not be processed during this closure. They will resume when the office reopens. Our emails will be checked periodically.

2021-2021 Taekwondo Canada Strategic Plan
Taekwondo Canada has completed and posted the new 2021-2024 Strategic Plan which will govern the direction of the organization moving forward. We want to thank the Strategic Planning Committee for all their hard work, time and expertise over the last few months.
2021 Online National Poomsae Championships
The 2021 Online National Poomsae Championships will be held live via Zoom, in conjunction with WCompetition, on February 6-7, 2021. Information will soon be posted here.
2021 Online National Recreational Poomsae Championships
This event will run over the course of 4-5 weeks from early February 2021 to mid-March 2021. This event will include both teams and pairs, all belt colors and will have a demonstration competition. More information will soon be posted here.
NCCP
We have launched the last Performance Coach workshop of the year, which is being delivered in both official languages. In 2020, Taekwondo Canada has continued growing the pool of certified coaches in the Performance Coach context that will be coaching Canada’s top athletes at the international level.
We have been working with coaches who have previously applied for evaluations which are still pending to ensure all coaches that have paid for evaluations are actively working on completing their certification with the deadline of March 31st, 2021. Kukkiwon
A reminder that applications for Kukkiwon certificates are still being received and processed as per usual. With larger mail volumes and reduced staff capacity at Kukkiwon, the time frame to receive certificates is about 12 weeks. We apologize for the delays.
Poomsae World Championships
Congratulations to all the athletes who are currently competing at the Online World Poomsae championships. We will continue to report results as they come in on our social media. Thank you to Dando Sports for supporting the team with such high-level uniforms!
Pan Am Poomsae Championships
Taekwondo Canada is working through the logistics for this event and more information will be released shortly.
