World’s Best Taekwondo Athletes to Square off at Richmond Olympic Oval for 2018 Canada Open

RICHMOND, B.C.—The top black belt taekwondo athletes on the planet are coming to the Richmond Olympic Oval, September 14-16, 2018.
Taekwondo Canada will host more than 800 athletes along with 165coaches/support staff representing 31 countries at the sixth annual Canada Open and Canada Para Open in Richmond, B.C.
Athletes in youth (ages 10-11), cadet (ages 12-14), junior (ages 15-17), and senior (ages 17+) will battle for prestigious points towards their world, Olympic and Paralympic rankings in Kyorugi, Poomsae and Para Taekwondo competition formats.
A record number of participants in the event’s short history have booked their tickets to Canada’s west coast. The matches for the 2018 Canada Open will take place September 14-16 starting at 9 a.m. PST each day. The Opening Ceremony will take place on the main track area of the Richmond Olympic Oval, September 14 at 1 p.m. PST.
