Taekwondo Canada is committed to providing its members with safe, inclusive, training and competition environments, raising awareness about misconduct in sport and providing training and resources to clubs, coaches, officials, athletes, parents and volunteers.
As part of its commitment to Safe Sport and in accordance with Sport Canada requirements, Taekwondo Canada has contracted Ms. Gillian Hnatiw to be an independent Third-Party contact. Ms. Hnatiw is a lawyer in Toronto with expertise in sexual misconduct, including allegations involving sexual, physical, and psychological abuse, harassment and assault.
In cases in which the alleged incident may contain an element of discrimination, harassment, workplace harassment, workplace violence, sexual harassment, or abuse, the Canadian Sport Helpline may refer the complaint directly to Taekwondo Canada’s independent third-party consultant, Gillian Hnatiw, to handle the complaint.
Ms. Hnatiw is a designated individual who can receive and review all complaints, allegations and concerns in accordance with the Code of Conduct policy.
